BH Holiday Blog!

As 2013 comes to a close, I browse through b&h's website, feeling proud of our accomplishments, lessons learned, friends made, etc etc.  As I get to our blogging page, I realize we've shared virtually NOTHING with you!  Now I'm not going to assume that we have a crucial spot in your schedule of work, email, BF list reading, and FB browsing, but I do feel that we owe you an update!

We had a fantastic year.  b&h had a photo shoot, made a website, got invited to Orvieto Musica as a featured group, met a new friend Cho who has fantastically recorded our concerts (we'll post them soon!), and we have twice as many concerts this year as we did last year, just to name a few of our many accomplishments.

Through the season, we've continued to grow as an ensemble.  Chamber playing is not unlike starting up a small business or even entering into a marriage.  Everyone has to contribute 150%, knowing full-well that there will be disagreements, laughter, hard times, successes, and failures.  There's a lot of commitment and trust involved there!  As b&h kicked off our fall season, we decided that a key component to every season is critical experience.  Pushing deadlines, raising standards, and broadening horizons have all been common vocabulary, and I think it's been paying off for us this year!

A few thank you's that we owe:

Nyela, our patient and motivating coach.  Thanks for always pushing us to the next level musically and professionally!!

Cho, our recording engineer.  Thanks to you for connecting with us letting us drag you around to our concerts!  Your recordings are worlds better than what we could do, and we owe you!

Neil and Christa, our personal moral supports and compasses.  We'd be lost without you guys.

All of you who are reading this!  You provide us with the motivation to keep making music, and the energy to share it with people who care.  Thank you so much!

I hope you are as excited as we are for 2014!

See you soon,
-b&h
