Hats to you, Dawson!

Hey all,
Did you know cider comes in kegs?!

The Dawson shared a wonderful spread with us on Tuesday, and even included a classy banner for the event!  Cream Wine Company refreshed our palates with some delightful Cidre. THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Our WINNER of the evening was...and this is very exciting:

Darius IV

Darius Milhaud certainly knew how to write some wonderful pieces.

If you missed out, here's the food from the evening!! Be careful not to drool on your screens...

You can NEVER have too much meats and cheeses, not to mention FIGS and nuts! It's the promised land, people.

And if you want to check out the Dawson, because you did just drool on your screens, we're doing an event with them on NOVEMBER 17!  Get your tickets now!

Ok, see you again soon friends (maybe SATURDAY?)!

much love, food, and music,

bh

Last but not least, here's their Facebook posting from the evening:

THANK YOU BIG JONES

Hi All,

In case you missed our Season Kick-Off Industry Night with Big Jones, here's a recap:

YOU MISSED A FABULOUS TIME!

Paul Fehribach blew our socks off with a full four-course menu which included housemade pickles (including pickled fiddlehead ferns!), a variation on a caprese salad with housemade cottage cheese and tomatoes as large as my face, crawfish and andouille gumbo accompanied by potato salad, and finished off with a sugar cream pie topped with a delectable berry compote.

Andy Shay also came with his game face, and provided us with a dangerously delicious Chatham brandy punch.  Here is a beautiful photo of the spread that made us drool so generously:

THANK YOU BIG JONES!

Our program selection included Wolfgang, Darius, Leos, Paul, and Arvo (our defending champion from the La Sirena Edition).  We are delighted to announce our new defending champion:

WOLFGANG (Mozart)
Sonata in e minor

Thank you to MOZAWA for this lovely Twitter picture

Wolfgang will make an appearance to defend his title at our next Industry Night, coming up in SIX days (Tuesday, September 29)!  Green Grocer will be our culinary collaborator, come ready to drink some cider!!

Thanks everyone, can't wait to see you soon.  If you get a chance, stop by and send our regards to Big Jones!

INDUSTRY NIGHT: COALFIRE EDITION

Hi all!

Tonight (Tuesday) at 8p is our latest installment of "Industry Night"!  We are so lucky and excited to present COALFIRE PIZZA as our restaurant collaborator for the evening.  For those of you who don't know this place, follow the link to their website!

As a small background to this place, film director John Hughes loved its pizza so much, he modeled his own kitchen to resemble the coal fire ovens that make Coalfire's pizzas still.

Tonight, you get to eat John Hughes' favorite pizza.  We hope you're as eager as we are!

Can't wait to see you at 8p!

Sincerely,
BH

Note from Green Grocer!

Hi All!!

Here's a note from our buddy Ethan, who represented Green Grocer at our last Industry Night!  Thanks again for helping us kick off such a wonderful event!!

Thanks Team Bow & Hammer for getting us involved in your most recent evening of great music and great people.  We loved providing the spread of food and getting to show off some of what we do.  It is amazing to see friends and strangers brought together, sitting around a table of food, and sharing music.  It also felt great to see that not much food remained at the end of it all!

Come visit us at the corner of Grand and Noble for thoughtful and amazing products from small local producers and farms.

And we also hope that everyone was able to try the pickles the that Robyn and I make.  Central Pickling, if anyone is trying to remember the name.  They happen to be available at the Green Grocer and at spots around Chicago.  Like us on Facebook (facebook.com/centralpickling) and see where they are available close to you!
